Transient Bishop

Joseph R. Gimena was being designated as the transient Bishop, tasked to facilitate members coming from the areas devastated by Supertyphoon who are evacuating in Cebu. The coordination on their needs and accomodations with the local leaders and communities are some of his responsibilities aside from the spiritual aspect. Joseph was a former Bishop of the Capitol Ward, Cebu Central Stake and now reside with his family in Lapulapu City.He works as an assistant to the Temple Engineer.

Temple Opens Day After Supertyphoon

Temple operation resumes today, a day after the supertyphoon spared much of central Cebu. The strong winds , however, made Angel Moroni turned to North East.

Temple Closes on Friday

As announced by the Temple Presidency to leaders, the Temple will close on Friday, November 8, 2013. They will inform the earliest should conditions will allow for the Temple to open on Saturday.This is to have the member stay at home and prepare for the typhoon Yolanda projected to cross Cebu island. Scheduled  temple trips of members from nearby islands and Mindanao were already advised to  reschedule.
