Kamputhaw Chapel Update

Since its groundbreaking on December last year, the construction was slowed as more soil test and design was evaluated . The vacant lot where the proposed Kamputhaw ward chapel will be erected is backfilled area during the construction of the complex. The arrival of heavy equipment indicates that the contractor is soon to bring in more personnel to complete the project on time

Former Ordinance Workers on Mission

Young people are becoming more engage in the work inside the Temple. Soon to leave members for full time missionary work are responding to the call to work as ordinance worker. Seldom, these young ordinance workers , now in their respective  area met for a joyful reunion. Above photo shows Elder Mulet, on Temple Square tour with Sisters Colipapa and sibling Sister Mulet. Both sisters are serving at Salt Lake City Temple Square.Elder Mulet assigned in Tahiti, Papeete Mission  is having a tour in the Temple Square with MTC batchmates, hence the met up. They were released on their temple assignment as they leave for their mission. A wonderful spiritually filled experience ongoing to the many like them.

Been a While

Its been a while since the last post.
A looooooot had been happening inside the temple , changes and modification of things done. One can safely say that what is on going deluge of  "exciting announcements and policy changes " are also going on with Temple activities. This is equallt true with Temples. It being where all roads lead to in man's quest of eternity. The highest ordinances that can only be done inside the temple are aligning with the prophet's clarion call of staying in the covenant path. We are living indeed in an exciting era of the ongoing gospel restoration.

Sessions Cancelled Saturday PM

The Temple through the recorder announced a cancellation of last two endowment sessions this Saturday due to Elder Holland's devotional with temple and ordinance workers. The full text of the letter below;

Dear Stake Presidents (Metro Cebu) 😊 On such a short notice, Elder Holland (Q12) invited all temple workers & volunteers to a devotional this Saturday, Jan 12 (6pm to 7:30pm). This will be done together with Manila Temple workers. The broadcast from Manila MTC will be hooked to Cebu City Stake Center. For this reason, we may not have the endowment sessions for 4:30pm & 6pm. We ask a huge favor if you can inform the bishops & members of your stake. Hope they will understand the situation. Salamat po! 😇 Mel Fajardo

Statement on Temples

What a  historical year 2018 had been for the Church! Aptly said earlier during the April 2018 by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland "I don’t know how many more “rushes” we can handle this....". What more than can be said came October General conference!From ministering,Sunday service time reduction, home centered-church supported gospel learning, new curriculum, alternate auxiliary class schedules, primary & youth age group progression/ordination to begin this year,what a year indeed just passed.

The unprecedented numbers of temple announced to be built;including Cagayan De Oro and Davao was overwhelming,especially on those within the area.

Those were just the announced changes. One may ask, what about the unannounced? To begin the new year the First Presidency  issued an official statement on temples for guidance and understanding.

Temple worship has always been an edifying experience to those who come to worship, learn and perform ordinances for and in their behalf. Changes that are very well part of the"rushes" that will bring us closer to God. The prophet reminded all,"Building and maintaining temples may not change your life, but spending your time in the temple surely will. To those who have long been absent from the temple, I encourage you to prepare and return as soon as possible. Then I invite you to worship in the temple and pray to feel deeply the Savior’s infinite love for you, that each of you may gain your own testimony that He directs this sacred and ageless work".
