The Temple reopens after the just concluded 2 week maintenance shutdown. Extensive preparations were done to give an edifying and uplifting experience to the patrons everytime they visit to perform vicarious work. Noticeably upon enterring the complex leading to the Temple, the absence of once lush greens and some trees is conspicuous. The scenery is like having a makeover which in due time would make again the place always beautiful with the greens , flowers and trees blossoming.
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.(Psalm 27:4) "In addition to temples, surely another holy place on earth ought to be our homes. The feelings of holiness in my home prepared me for feelings of holiness in the temple." James E. Faust

Temple on Maintenance Shutdown
The Temple was closed starting January 13 this week until the 25th as the Temple Complex goes into its twice a year maintenance shutdown. With the earthquake and typhoon Yolanda happening within the months since last year's shutdown, works are expected to fix those things that needs to be done only when temple is closed. The most anticipated among this work is the Angel Moroni on top , going to be repositioned to face the East when it is possible.
